O house of Jacob, come and let us walk in the light of the LORD.

Isaiah 2:5

God commanded His Word to be recorded in writing for our instruction on all issues. Because He is our Father, He doesn’t want any of His children to take the wrong way and end up being caught in the clutches of tormentors. He who heeds what’s revealed in the Word of God will never stumble. Taking possession of the revelations of the Divine Word will prevent us from giving in to the enemy’s proposals.

One thing is certain: God’s people will never miss out on light. When believers hear what is being preached or read what’s written in the Holy Scriptures they receive the right direction because what the Bible says is the Truth and with it we’ll never serve the wicked one. Our God rejoices whenever we fulfil His commandments. The Scriptures contain all that’s necessary for us to be kept safe in all areas of our lives.

A good reason for us to walk in the Light is to prevent stumbling. The Lord Jesus said that if anyone walks in the day, he does not stumble, because he sees the light of this world (John 11:9); but those who pay no notice to God’s warnings will undoubtedly stumble in the course of their journey. Those people who fulfil the commandments shown to them through the Divine Word will never turn away from the blessed Way outlined by our Father.

Those who are used to stumbling will have no excuses on the Great Day for God is faithful in giving His people the enlightenment they need to avoid departing from the Way. Every time you pay heed to what the Lord’s showing you – and this is exactly what the Lord wants you to do – His mighty hand will guide you. Failing to fulfil the divine purposes is giving the devil a chance to drive you away from the True Path.

People should be on guard to prevent Satan from contaminating their hearts; after all, it’s from within the heart that decisions arise. Therefore, our duty is to keep an eye out so as not to open a door to the enemy and not to arouse God’s wrath by doing what He condemns. In so doing, instead of being considered ungodly and rebellious, the Lord will regard us as faithful and righteous.

Our Father gives us the Light for us to glorify Him with good deeds. Those who reject the divine offer and act according to their own desires out of sheer wickedness will have no excuses to avoid being condemned on the Day of Reckoning because the judgment will be very harsh. On this day, people will receive their verdict. So examine yourself and if you find out you aren’t blameless, ask for forgiveness and change your behavior.

The devil will never stop tempting you. All he wants is to oppress you so that your life becomes a nightmare. By taking possession of what belongs to you in Christ you’ll be turned into someone who pleases the Most High’s heart. God has plenty to grant to those who are found pleasant to Him. We please the Lord whenever we fulfil His commandments.

In Christ, with love,
