If you will not hear, and if you will not take it to heart, to give glory to My name,” says the LORD of hosts, “I will send a curse upon you, And I will curse your blessings. Yes, I have cursed them already, because you do not take it to heart.

Malachi 2:2

Do not think that this warning is not meant for you to too. No one is excluded; but all have the obligation to fulfill what the Lord commands. The truth is that the Word tells us that it is our duty to give due honor to His name (Psalm 29:2). If we do otherwise, we will not be able to participate in the blessings prepared for those who honor His blessed name.

You have to heed the commandment and take it to heart to obey it. Do not let it fall by the wayside; listen closely to what God tells you to do and get into action. Then, you will know what steps to take and when fulfilling your mission the hands of the eternal King will give the reward reserved for him who listens and fulfills His orders.

The Name of Jesus must receive the honor of your faith – or else you will be cursed. It is not enough to say that you believe in what the Lord has spoken. He planned for everyone who is accepted into His family to cause the Name of Jesus to be glorified by using the faith that God has given them. He who despises a commandment judging that it is of lesser importance will not participate in the divine glory (Proverbs 19:16).

Harsh but true word: God will hold you accountable for having neglected to do His work out of cowardice. This is no joke! The text of Revelation 5:10 states that we are made kings and priests to our God (Revelation 5:10). So, as kings we are sovereign in all that concerns us; as priests we are in charge of doing what the Almighty has commissioned us. Thus, under no circumstance shall we accept defeat because it is only with victory that His name is extolled.

If you do not obey His command a curse will be sent upon you and the Lord will curse your blessings. What is the use of having an evil heart to the point of ignoring what He demands? God requires you to believe so that you can see His glory in your life (John 11:40). It is therefore necessary to pay attention to this and to all the other things the Lord will do. Always fulfill your mission!

You should consider giving honor to the Lord’s name as a priority, praying about it. In so doing, He will give you the power to accomplish what He told you to do and you will see all the blessings conquered by Jesus being poured out on your life. You just have to believe that this is the way the heavenly Father has planned things to be so that we can be rewarded on the Last Day.
