27/11/2020 - WE ENTER THE LORD´S REST

For we who have believed do enter that rest, as He has said: “So I swore in My wrath, ‘They shall not enter My rest,’ ”although the works were finished from the foundation of the world. Hebrews 4:3

It is an enormous advantage to believe in God, although our mind often directs us to do the opposite. The promise for those who believe is to behold divine glory. But notice that the verse above speaks about entering into Lord´s rest, where He rested from His works and we will be free from the onslaughts of the evil one.

Believing in God makes all the difference. This is what sets us apart from the rest of creation; after all, we were made in the image and likeness of the Lord. Because we believe in Him, our life is in holy rest, where the evil one will never enter. In eternity, alongside Jesus, we will live away from darkness. Those who are wise should try to enter where the enemy will never bother them.

Many people say they are in the Gospel, but still live with negative thoughts, confessing things that bind them to the wicked realm. It is unfortunate to see them saying that they have been freed from the devil’s ability to harass them. Now, without communion with God, they live where confusion reigns. With faith, the saved must confess their deliverance.

When the Hebrews were in Egypt as slaves to Pharaoh, without any rights, the Most High anointed Moses, placing His glorious arm on Moses´ right hand (Isaiah 63:12), and delivered them from the hands of the oppressor. However, they denied God’s ability to settle them in the land of the Amorites, because they believed in the negative confession of the ten spies. This foolish decision hurt the Lord so much that He swore in His wrath that they would not enter His rest.

In the same way, it will happen to those who become God’s people, but refuse to enter the Promised Land – the Gospel. Now, the works of the Most High have been fulfilled since the day Jesus went down to Hell and stripped the evil powers of the authority they had stolen from man. Today, the devil and his demons are stripped of that power over us.

Your entry into the Lord’s rest depends on your believing. If you give in to the lies of the devil, even if you become a member of a good church, you will not live God’s promises. Those who are sheltered in the hiding place of the Most High will say that a thousand will fall beside them, but they will not be struck, and no harm will come to them nor will any plague come near their dwelling (Psalm 91: 7,10). Those who are of  God overcome battles by faith!

Heavenly Father’s deeds are accomplished since the foundation of the world, but our attitude of believing in Him or not will give us entry or not into His hiding place. We must trust and strive to enter this holy place!
