But you have an anointing from the Holy One, and you know all things.

I John 2: 20

A thorough Christian – the one who is born again, who has gone through repentance, who was baptised by The Holy Spirit and is in communion with The Lord God – should never use any excuse that he did something wrong because he didn’t understand the will of the Father. Now, The Scriptures say that a man gifted by the divine anointing knows all things; after all, it’s this very anointing which teaches him – both by The Word and by the witness conceived in his inner being – the desires of The Most High for his life.

We have such a blessing which ungodly people cannot enjoy: if we make any wrong decision, however insignificant it might be, we sense at once we haven’t behaved righteously even when we are not aware of the point of view of The Scriptures regarding that issue. That happens on account of our being baptised in The Holy Spirit. This is the very witness conceived in our inner being granted to us by God. Thus we can turn to The Lord for forgiveness and stop committing the same error.

Those who are in communion with Jesus, whenever they make a mistake, soon realises the detour they’ve taken since they immediately feel sorrow in their hearts and their spirit is then deprived of peace. And that kind of feeling lingers on in their inner being until they confess their transgression to The Most High and never go back to sinning again. Once those steps are taken their inner being will rejoice again and they’ll soon afterwards feel the divine presence. On the other hand, if no repentance takes place they won’t enjoy the presence and the friendship of God any longer.

If, on account of any sin, the holy anointing happens not to be present in us we then begin to consider wrongdoings as normal. So, for those “red lights” to light up again in our hearts we have to go back to the point where we fell since only with true confession and total determination to abandon what’s banned we can regain peace with God. As long as a fallen Christian has no communion with the Lord, he or she will not experience the love and protection of the Lord during trials and temptations.

The good point of our making friends with God is the fact that The Scriptures will be open to us and the divine power will always operate whenever we determine to take possession of a blessing or whenever we rebuke the enemies’ assaults. If you haven’t received any revelation through the preaching of The Word of God, through reading the Bible or in case prayers don’t move you any longer perhaps you’re taking some attitudes which aren’t pleasing our Father at all.

If you’re experiencing only evil assaults and if your days have gone dark and dull – tough days – or if your outcries haven’t been answered you must not accept such situation as though that was part of the divine plan for you. The Almighty has no other projects for us except for those revealed in The Bible. Therefore, you ought to turn to Him in prayer and ask Him to show you your mistake. Those who follow this counsel won’t turn out to be preys in the devil’s clutches.

The divine anointing will let you be aware of everything – from those barriers which prevent you from having the power of God actively working on your behalf to your lack of understanding of the writings in The Holy Book. One thing is certain and unchangeable: The Lord will never allow His Word to pass away (Luke 21: 33)! On top of that, the abundant life belongs to us and it’ll never be taken away from us. Therefore, you must believe you’re a conqueror above all things!

In Christ, with love,

R. R. Soares
