Can a woman forget her nursing child, and not have compassion on the son of her womb? Surely they may forget, Yet I will not forget you. Isaiah 49.15

We have acted wrongly when facing temptations, both in our soul and body, and the result is problems with sin and physical suffering. It is necessary to be guided according to the Scriptures, resisting the evil one in all his attacks: Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you (James 4.7). To submit to God is to agree with His Word, to remember Jesus’ covenant with us, to rebuke evil, and to believe in the blessing.

We have seen in previous lessons that the Lord will never abandon us. However, when a disease appears in us, what do we do? Almost always, nothing. We admit that there is an evil attacking us, but we don’t rebuke it, as Jesus did (Mark 4.39; Luke 4.39; 9.42). Now we have to do the same works that He did (John 14.12). This question needs to be answered and learned biblically. God does not change, but we do, all the time!

The Master taught about our responsibility to watch, saying: Watch and pray lest you enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak (Matthew 26.41). We have not practiced this! The result are falls and more falls, and what is worse: we no longer turn to the One who spoke clearly: You will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart (Jeremiah 29.13).

The Lord taught that the search is in the Word, which never fails, and not in much crying or praying before Him, when we should know how to deal with the enemy the moment he tempts us. We don’t need to keep crying out for hours for a touch from God: What is this thing that He said, You will seek Me, and not find Me; and where I am you cannot come?; In that day you will ask in My name, and I do not say to you, that I shall pray the Father for you: for the Father Himself loves you, because you have loved Me, and have believed that I came forth from God (John 7.36; John 16.26,27). It is not wrong to pray, but to stop believing the Word!

The Word of the Lord takes His absent place. He declared, I’m going away, and you will seek Me, and will die in your sin. Where I go you cannot come (John 8.21b). We cannot go where Jesus is, but it is possible to take our place in Him and command evil in body, soul and spirit to leave. Christ did this and gave us the example to follow in the same way (John 13.15).

Can a mother forget the child she brought into the world and nursed? Even if this happens, the Lord will never forget us. Lay no other foundation to act upon Him: For no other foundation can anyone lay than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ (1 Corinthians 3.11; John 1.1). He will always do what he says: Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away (Matthew 24.35).

One will be delivered from evil if he acts as it is written in the Bible. Divine foreknowledge has already placed in the Holy Book everything that we will need to accomplish until our last second on Earth. Therefore, assert your rights in Christ. Amen?

In Christ, with love,

R. R. Soares

Omniscient and Prescient God! We thank You for Biblical guidance. Your oracles comfort us, also exhort us, and empower us to act according to Christ Jesus, our Lord. Everything He did and taught are lessons for which we praise You!

Even if a mother forgets her children, You will never forget us, so we come confidently before the throne of Truth, Your Word, to follow the example left by Your Son. In Your Name, we take upon ourselves in Christ!

We rebuke every evil that is in our body, ordaining that it come out in the Name of Jesus. We praise You for all that You will do. Every wrong in us must come out now, that You may be glorified in the Son. Most High God, we are so thankful!
