Through You we will push down our enemies; through Your name we will trample those who rise up against us.

Psalm 44:5

After Adam’s fall the Most High told Satan that He would put enmity between the seed of the woman – the Lord Jesus – and the enemy (Genesis 3:15), and stated that the devil would bruise the heel of the Son of God, but He also said that Jesus would bruise him as well. On the Calvary, that divine decree was confirmed and put into action. Now we are in a position of complete supremacy over the forces of darkness and because we have the Holy Word at our disposal we can overcome all our enemies; after all none of them can stand before us.
Obviously there is something we have to do: put our faith into action! My brethren, praying all the time and asking the Lord to deliver you from the enemy’s onslaughts is not the most correct attitudes to take. Jesus guaranteed that He would give us power to trample not only serpents and scorpions but also the power of our enemy, and that nothing would cause us any harm (Luke 10:19). Therefore, when any of God’s children – however oppressed they might be – stand up and firmly command Satan to go out along with all his demons he has to obey.
Our enemies are not human, but forces of darkness that insist on oppressing us. By the way, those hellish actions cause all kinds of suffering and can hit us with all sorts of evil; however, we have the divine assurance according to which everything we demand in the Name of the Lord will have to take place.
The secret is the following: we have to act based on what the Word of God teaches us. The anointing of the Holy Spirit tells us when that must be done and by the blessed Name of Jesus we are superior to all evil powers. In fact, the authority of rebuking all evil and demanding it to go out is within us, so we must not be afraid of those who rise up against us. They shall come out against you one way and flee before you seven ways
(Deuteronomy 28:7). But if we behave cowardly and if we do not take a stand in the Name of the Lord, the powers of hell will not obey us.
No weapon that the enemy forms against your life shall prosper if you rebuke it, with faith, in the Name of Jesus. The powers of darkness know that they cannot resist those who are grounded in the Eternal Truth; those who use their authority. There are people who are so fearful that they easily drawback from battles and such attitude helps the enemy strengthen his tricks. Yet, Satan and his demons will never be able to carry out his plans against the lives of those who really serve God and claim their victory.
Would you dare help the devil or would you submit to God? It is always good to obey the Lord (I Samuel 15:22)!
In Christ, with love,
