“You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden.” (Matthew 5:14)
It’s so good to be a Christian, but our responsibility is enormous. We’re the light set in the world by the Lord so everyone will see the Way of God and drift away from their sinful deeds. There isn’t the slightest possibility for other people to see what’s good if we don’t let our light shine. On the other hand, if we do what the Word of the Lord recommends, we’ll be giving our generation the best assistance they could ever get. That’s what the Most High expects from us.
Be careful in order to not disappoint your neighbor with your attitudes. In all circumstances keep in mind God has assigned you to shine the light. By fulfilling your mission you’ll be helping sinners to repent, the hesitant to stand firm, and those who suffer to find out what they need to do to be delivered from all evil. Don’t let yourself be deceived by prosperity offers which dazzle the mind and deceive so many people. The divine Grace is all you need to be a successful person.
God doesn’t use any other means to bless someone, whoever they might be. Though His angels wished to have the opportunity to be assigned the task of blessing people, they weren’t successful; the Lord didn’t appoint them to do that. That’s our privilege: to take all those designated by our Father to be at His feet. The Lord needs your arms to hug people; your hands to heal; your mouth to speak and your heart to love.
My brethren, you must always be aware of your position. God has set you as an extension of His own Being, so make sure you’re always the light everyone needs to have. Never let the enemy use you to do something different from that, whatever the circumstances. Even if you are harassed and attacked, you must never forget that you’re the light that delivers from darkness those who are in captivity. God will certainly reward you for all the good deeds you’ve done.
Don’t stop shining no matter how hard your ordeal is. Nothing happens by chance, but God can see everything and He knows the reason why unpleasant things happen. So, failing to fulfil your mission is foolishness. Joseph of Egypt wouldn’t have been able to assist his people when famine stroke if he had turned off his light.
There’ll come a day when we’ll be face to face with our Lord. So, all those who were faithful to Him will be rewarded; however, those who are unfaithful to Him will suffer a tremendous blow. So, do work for your eternal life. This is the time to fulfil the divine plan. I pray for you to be approved on the day of reckoning for all you’ve done.
In Christ, with love,
R. R. Soares
