And He said to me, ‘You are My servant, O Israel, In whom I will be glorified.’                                              Isaiah 49.3

We will still understand the value of our calling. After all, serving the Creator of Heaven and Earth is one of the best things that can happen to anyone. He was good to call us to be part of the Body of people whose task is to bring the message that frees man from his fears and delivers him from the works of darkness and sin to the world. One day, we will be rewarded for having obeyed the Lord’s call!

God does not have slaves, but people who serve Him with joy, dignity and great pleasure. It doesn’t matter where the Lord sends us, or the price we have to pay to give the message of eternity. For every lost person we lead to salvation in Jesus, there will be a reward that will be greater than all the gold in the world. Never stop exhorting people to forsake worldliness and take their place in the Body of Christ (2 Timothy 4.2).

The statement of the verse being studied shows that the effort and the struggles that we will face when announcing the Truth to everyone speak loudly to the Father’s heart. No one can replace the one whom the Lord has chosen to be His servant in the saddest places of this world. The Most High prepares us to bring Light to the lost and assists us in preaching the Word. Moreover, He protects us from all evil.

The Lord calls us Jacob, His servant. This means that we are not yet who He wants us to be. But as we are on the way with Him, one day we will be visited by His grace. Then, everything that needs to be set right in our life will be fulfilled. The Good News that we proclaim does us great good. As they are fulfilled in us, the lost everywhere will want to participate in this tremendous move of God amongst us.

The same Jacob was accepted in the mission he learned, from the moment he wrestled with God and prevailed (Genesis 32.22-30). It took an angel from Heaven to come into the world to teach Jacob the lesson. As a prince, after the clash with the Lord, Jacob came out blessed for heavenly joy. Therefore, never withdraw from the battle, saying that God doesn’t love you. In a short time, you will see God’s work being done in your life. You are one of the chosen ones!

Through simple people like you and me, the Most High will be glorified, and He will also glorify you in Christ Jesus, as it is written: That the name of our Lord Jesus Christ may be glorified in you, and you in Him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ (2 Thessalonians 1.12). The heavenly Father takes pleasure in seeing you struggle against temptations. After you have done everything as it pleases God, you will be recognized as a faithful servant!

It doesn’t matter where you live, or what you do amongst people, or whether you have problems that others consider insurmountable. The Lord declares: You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in my name He may give you (John 15.16). Continue steadfast!

In Christ, with love,

Beloved God! It is good and pleasant to hear You call us servants. It shows that You will defend us at all times and teach us in the way that You want us to go. Your love is unchanging, unquestionable and eternal. Thank You, Father!

Even though the world may not recognize us as Your property, when Jesus returns to our planet to take away the Church, we will ascend among the redeemed. Then we will be safe from the wrath that will come upon those who have not loved You!

We want to prevail in our battles, because being Israel, it will never again be heard that there is no way for us. On the contrary, all our problems will be solved. Your love and Your faithfulness lead us to believe that we will never be confused or forsaken.
