08/01/2014 - WHAT DO YOU SEE WHEN DISHONOR IS BEFORE YOU?

My dishonor is continually before me, and the shame of my face has covered me. Psalm 44:15

Although David was a successful man of God, for a while he got carried away by the devil’s lies and saw the world through a different perspective. This has happened with lots of sons and daughters of God; even great leaders have gone through such dire times. The worst is when they describe these misadventures as divine revelations and when the unwary accept them, allowing the devil to oppress them.

You need to be very careful with everything that happens in your life, with what you hear and what you think. Satan once possessed Peter – right after he had been used by the Almighty – to rebuke the Lord Jesus (Matthew 16:13-23). The Savior immediately scolded him, teaching us a lesson for us not to let the enemy enrapture us in his deceptions. Anything that contradicts what is in the Scriptures does not come from God but from Hell.

When a person gets carried away by the talk of the enemy, he starts to see things in a distorted way. Be always attentive to what you hear or see! The moment Satan shows you something the Spirit of God makes you feel it is wrong – whether is a lewd or even an innocent gaze or a compliment that someone gives you. God only speaks through His Word and when He does so, He leaves no doubts in our minds.

The onslaughts of the devil are ongoing, and so is the divine assistance. The enemy does not tempt those who are already his; he simply guides them. But, when approaching the saved ones, he presents himself as a great friend and, sadly, we must recognize that many have heeded him. How many pastors divided churches because they felt that if they did not do so they would never accomplish anything? Later they came to the conclusion that they are actually nothing before the holy Lord.

There is a multitude of men of God who were truly used by the Lord but today they are instruments in the hands of the enemy because of this kind of temptation. Many have concluded that they have done the wrong thing, but stubbornness will not let them confess and turn away from their wrongdoings. They stride towards the Day of Reckon in great leaps and bounds then they shall hear their sentence pronounced by the Master because judgment will be passed without mercy.

Some even say that their bad attitudes had been inspired by the Lord; but they do not wake up even after having suffered so much. When they write or speak about the lie in which they live they are still being used by the enemy to lead others into doing similar things. My prayer is that they do wake up!

In Christ with love,

R. R.Soares
