Bring no more futile sacrifices; incense is an abomination to Me.The New Moons, the Sabbaths, and the calling of assemblies—I cannot endure iniquity and the sacred meeting. Isaiah 1.13

The people started changing the purpose of the sacrifices, which were supposed to be made by the Lord’s orientation and with the intention of pleasing Him. However, since they took them with their hearts full of sin, deceiving the Lord, He prohibited their practice. For this reason, God said that he could not endure any longer their iniquity and their sacred meeting. Have we not done the same today? What would the Most High say about your “offerings”?

God does not allow something useless to be offered to Him, according to religious costumes or the heart of the offerer. The Heavenly Father declares in Scriptures that the human heart is corrupt, and therefore, it cannot bring Him gladness. The Lord waits for us to confess to Him, tearing our “clothes” – what is inside of us – for only when we are sincere before the altar that He will accept us.

Incense was a kind of worship when people burnt it so that its smell would be pleasing to the Lord. However, what burned in their hearts was abominable before God. Nowadays, many people learn how to praise with beautiful words, but shelter all kinds of mistakes in their spirit. The Lord rejects the “praise” of he who hides his sin, something that is repugnant to the eyes of the Father.

The religious feasts also do not please God. What is the use of doing a chain to be freed of whatever suffering, if sin is not confessed? There are some who do the madness of telling the person who he deceived to pray with him, even remaining in sin and hiding from the person the physical, monetary, or moral damage that he is causing. Now, the holy God is disgusted with such attitudes, and while His dissatisfaction is outpoured, His judgment can be executed.

In the same way, the Most High does not consider many people as keeping the Sabbath, though they might do so with “the best of intentions”. However, man was not made for Sabbath, but Sabbath for man (Mk 2.27). The veil of iniquity in the hearts of many, besides not allowing them to receive the understanding of the subject, makes the sacred meeting to be without any value.

Every amount received dishonestly, the deceptions that are not confessed, and the filthy desires in the heart provoke the divine anger. For such a reason, the person who is in sin has the obligation of removing the “venom” that such an action has brought him through a real, sincere, and full confession. If a person hides only one detail, the evil one might remain on him.

How many prayers have you made that have not been attended? Isn’t it time to stop deceiving yourself? Whenever you take your offer to the Lord, and then remember about someone who might have something against you, leave your offer, seek the person and get things right with him, even if he does not know of your sin. After this act, return and give your offering!

In Christ, with love,

Most High God! The children of Israel did not understand what Isaiah told them, and still today, many of Your children do not understand. They give an enormous value to the Sabbath, but not to You. It is as if they tried to buy You with attitudes that annoy You, for they do so with their heart filled with deception.

It is evident that the things that please You are a sincere heart, a pure soul that is unclothed from the works of the flesh and filthiness. There is no way we can please You if we have done evil to someone and hidden such a thing. Have mercy, Lord!

Today is the day for us to make the most important decision: leaving before Your altar the greatest offering – our consecration to You – and seek those we have offended, defrauded, and caused evil, in order to get things right with him. Thus, we will be free to return and offer our gift to You, o Father!
