The LORD also will be a refuge for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble. Psalm 9:2

The Scriptures assure us that the Lord God has done to His people more than we can ask or think (Ephesians 3:20). Those who entrust their lives to Him should not allow any weapon of the devil to attack them. Satan will try to show you that there is sufficient reason for you to despair, but the truth is that times of trouble cannot affect those who abide in the shelter of the Most High (Psalm 91:1).

By declaring Himself as the Shelter for His people, the Most High has opened the door for us to take refuge in Him in the days of distress. The enemy is powerless to reach those who are in Christ. Faith in Jesus protects us every day and ensures eternal happiness with which we can proceed on our journey as if the evil one did not exist.

The evil one always magnifies your sins to intimidate you. For him, anything goes, after all his aim is to lead man into the bottomless pit and to this end he makes use of one his vilest tricks: lie. Therefore, those who are being oppressed by the enemy or undergoing a plethora of ordeals shall not be overtaken by pessimism if only they put their faith in the Son of God.

All God’s children should be aware of and confident in the fact that the times of anguish will never be able to reach them. Putting faith in the Lord makes an individual immune to demonic attacks. No matter how big and efficient the enemy’s tools might seem to be they will never prosper against a servant of God (Isaiah 54.17). However, if there is fear, the adversary knows that the door is open for him.

By putting your trust in the Lord you do one of the best and greatest works: you clothe yourself with so much divine grace that the evil one cannot reach you anymore. The Most High is an impenetrable shield to all the fiery darts that hell shoots against your life. It means that your protection is not something that God will send; rather, the Lord will be your Shield.

Those who trust in the Father are not hit by the hellish actions. So if you still have not given your life to Jesus or received Him as Savior and Lord, make that decision now! In so doing, the power of the devil cannot reach you. Protect yourself in the faith of Jesus from now on!

One thing is for sure: without the Lord there is no way of escape or will power to protect you. Another fact is even more certain: God will never abandon you. Say Amen!
