David speaks of himself and of the Lord Jesus, who, would be born into this world about a thousand years later, to give Himself for us and save us. The king of Israel was a servant of God, acting as a prophet. Whoever receives a mission from the Lord and is willing to fulfill it will find revelations in the Scriptures that will give him faith and the means to spread the Good News to the world. There are no excuses for those who are obedient.

The promises of the Bible concern those who listen to the Lord. Our task is not to die for someone to be saved or healed, but to proclaim the Gospel in the name of the Son of God and to see people blessed by the preaching of faith (Mark 16.16-18). Whoever fails to share the faith with the unsaved, besides losing the eternal reward, will be responsible for many (Ezekiel 33.8).

Imagine the responsibility of the one who stayed without visiting prisoners and the sick; refused to give food to the hungry, water to the thirsty, and did not free those oppressed by the forces of the evil kingdom. Jesus talked about this: Then He will answer them, saying, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to Me.’ And these will go away into everlasting punishment, but the righteous into eternal life (Matthew 25.45,46). Watch, believe and fulfill your mission!

No one can claim that he was unable to do God’s work. This is because the Lord knew everyone, even before the occlusion that the sperm caused in the egg, when fertilizing it. He also saw the formation of the embryo, as well as the development of the fetus and the birth itself (Psalms 139.14-16). In His foreknowledge, He knew who would be born from that good and holy union, so we are provided for in everything. The wise will obey God!

Before returning to Heaven, on a certain mountain in Galilee, the Savior set up an appointment with the disciples to give them final instructions. When they saw Him, they were thrilled, but some doubted. He commissioned them to make disciples everywhere, teaching them to keep His precepts. Then He told them that He had received all power in Heaven and on Earth (Matthew 28.16-20). Only those who are rebellious do not do the work!

Regardless of your social status, profession, or physical condition, the Lord has called you to the mission field. Certainly, you will find your opportunity to serve Him. When God calls us, He also gives us the tools and the guideline on how the work needs to be carried out (2 Corinthians 9.10). Follow God’s guidance!

More than 150,000 people die every day in the world, and most of them never heard about Jesus! Within that statistic, a small percentage are saved, and the rest enter into suffering from which they will never be freed. Does this touch your heart? If the answer is yes, are you speaking of Christ to the lost? In God’s Book, it is written that you are able to do something. So, will you do something?
