I will call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised; so shall I be saved from my enemies.
II Samuel 22:4
Based on that statement made by David we can understand that we must not invoke the Lord in an indifferent way, but having in mind what the Almighty means to us. To those who are sick He presents Himself as Jehovah-Rafa, the One who heals; to those who are going through financial problems He presents Himself as El Shaddai, the One who provides for our needs. Apart from all that, He also reveals Himself as the God of peace and love. Examine the Word and see what the Most High states He will do on behalf of those who believe in Him and then invoke Him accordingly.
The psalmist found out that God did not lose any battle and that He was worthy of praise, and that is why he invoked Him. When someone who is sick understands that and seeks the Lord, with faith, the divine power comes into action at the same moment and performs the healing. Therefore, from now on as you find out what the Word says about your problem, invoke the Almighty One to destroy each and every evil deed because the Lord, who is worthy of all praises, will never fail in His mission.
The truth is that the heavenly Father is for you what you believe He is. It is pointless to receive the divine revelation and pray with faith and rebuke evil forces if you do not believe that what you ordain will be done. That is what Jesus teaches in Mark 11:23: “For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, „Be removed and be cast into the sea,‟ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.”
King David followed the divine guidance and was delivered from his enemies and that is exactly what the Lord wants His children to learn. We have to obey the biblical ordinances for God to operate in our favor. My brother, regardless of the evil that might be oppressing your heart, you must turn to God right now in prayer and invoke Him. Speak to Him with all your faith and, then, rebuke the adversary with the assurance that he will not stand a chance after your command. Do not forget that what you say will be done.
Christians should ask themselves how many enemies they cannot get rid of. If the Holy Spirit reveals that David was delivered from all those that sought to destroy him, He wants you to know that this is also the divine will for your life. There are children of God being oppressed by evil spirits that cause them to have illicit desires and addictions as well as a series of difficulties such as marital strife, family and financial problems, among others. Determine your position in Jesus and get rid of the evil that has harmed your life.
Do not think that you will be able to dodge evil assaults only when you go to heaven. That must happen here and now! Do not allow demons to dominate you with filthy feelings and negative thoughts. There is no reason for you to be oppressed by any devilish power if Christ wants to make us free, not slaves (John 8:36). Therefore, take possession of your freedom from any evil power!
