04/05/2016 - WHAT TO DO AFTER CALLING ON THE LORD

Evening and morning and at noon I will pray, and cry aloud, And He shall hear my voice.  Psalm 55.17

Just like Daniel who prayed to God three times a day, David also had the habit of doing that in the morning, midday and afternoon. To pray is to use the weapons of our warfare (2 Cor 10:4), which were given to us to do the work according to the biblical orientations, so that we will give great joy to the Lord ( 3 John 4). He wants to see His children walking in the Truth, away from the errors and enjoying the blessings. God has immense happiness in seeing His servants prosper.

The act of praying is one of the most important of our life and it gives the Most High great happiness. Now, if the news about us comes before the Lord and He rejoices, imagine if we give accounts continually of what we do with the authority we were given! When we act this way, the Father will certainly be satisfied to see that we represented Him like He wished. Those who call upon Him receive power to walk in the Truth – the Word – and overcome.

David prayed to God, and when he felt he was in the presence of God, he called upon Him in order to fulfill His mission, doing like it pleased Him. When he was in need, the king cried out to the Most High and set out to destroy the plan of the enemy. How good it would be if the saved ones had the same attitude and dedicated themselves to accomplish the divine will!  Those who pray are fixing themselves to always make things right.

After praying, the king set out to the daily battles, or even to war, certain that victory was his. This is the type of person the Lord wants to see in His army. How many times could we have been used by our Commander, if we had not feared the threats of the enemy and if we dedicated ourselves in doing what pleases Him! Therefore, prepare yourself, for most assuredly, God will use you.

The son of Jesse prayed three times a day; but, we, on the other hand, should pray without ceasing ( 1 Thessalonians 5:17) every time a strange situation is occurring, or, according to what the psalmist did, in order to establish a pre determined time to talk to the Almighty God. If He likes to listen about us, we must tell Him in our prayer everything we understand that is His will, and the Lord will certainly help us accomplish it.

The psalmist said he would call upon the Most High, which was a good decision, for only He could answer his questions and use him for His glory. Never run away from battles; on the contrary, before going out to battle, always pray, and when you feel the divine touch, go straight to your problem, and with determination, give the command, so that the enemy may be tied up and defeated. You can do all that Jesus would do if He were in your place.

The good thing about all this is that God promised to hear our voice – answer our petitions. However, never ask something that is not promised in the Scriptures, for God´s action to bless us is limited from Genesis to Revelation. With the certainty that you will be answered, move ahead, for you will win any battle.

In Christ, with love,

Merciful God! It is good to know that You delight in knowing that we are succeeding, fulfilling Your will masterfully and using Your power to win. There is much more to do, that is why we need You.

We want to pray without ceasing and call upon You, for You will listen to our voice and You will answer us. Thank You for calling us to the battles and for going with us, so that we can execute Your judgment as You wish.

May all my readers receive power to walk in the Truth - Your Word. Thus, You will be eternally glorified and they will become victorious. We call upon Your Name, and because of that, victory already belongs to us. Amen!
