Then Daniel, whose name was Belteshazzar, was astonished for a time, and his thoughts troubled him. So the king spoke, and said, “Belteshazzar, do not let the dream or its interpretation trouble you.” Belteshazzar answered and said, “My lord, may the dream concern those who hate you, and its interpretation concern your enemies!

Daniel 4: 19

There are messages announced by God which make shake in fear even those who know their stand in Christ. Prophet Daniel, as he understood what had been revealed to king Nabuchadnezzar, was astonished. May the children of The Most High get ready because The Lord was not making fun of what He has put in His Word – humankind will be in great despair in view of what is planned to happen before the coming of Jesus.

When we read about those ten groups of people who will not inherit The Kingdom of God (I Corinthians 6: 10), it makes us ponder on what we are actually doing to deliver even those brothers-in-faith of ours who have fallen in error. The Judgement Day will be that of pain, suffering and despair for many. A significant number of people believe that God will understand the reason why they committed errors here on earth and that He will not condemn them in the end, but that thinking is nothing but sheer deceit considering that The Judgement will be merciless indeed!

Some people will also get desperate as they receive the condemnation for their evil deeds. As they will be eternally separated from The Lord nothing else might be done for them. Among them, many who consider themselves as servants of God, those who, in view of something they deem to be of less importance, feel they have a right to take all those attitudes and ways banned by The Word. Yet, we who are well aware of all that, what are we doing for them right now? What are we doing for our relatives who have not got converted yet? Have we been reaching out to those who only think of material things, those who despise the warnings of our Creator?

Well, striving to conquer material goods is not wrong; the trouble is making that one’s religion. Though that task was a sacrifice to us, we ought to go for those lives. When we accepted Jesus Christ as our Saviour the robe of salvation was also stretched upon them considering that The Scripture says that you and your house will serve The Lord (Acts 16: 31).

Open up your eyes and get your hands on doing the divine will in the same proportion you received the direction of The Lord, for everyone to whom much is given, from him much will be required (Luke 12: 48). We must neither save time nor financial resources to take people to the Gospel, whoever they might be. It will be very sad to see one of our beloved ones – or even someone we are not acquainted with – who we could have taken salvation to, heading towards the bottomless pit, from where he will never come out.

Now, going back to what is programmed to take place, you must remember that The Bible announces awfully hard times for humankind. Calamities will increase, wars and rumours of war will come up even more dramatically (Mark 13: 7), and when everybody wrongly thinks that men have reached out to the long-awaited peace and their safety, a sudden destruction will come upon them (I Thessalonians 5: 3). Therefore, do not turn away from what you have been learning in The Word of God; thus, you will be capacitated to escape from the evil deeds that will come upon humankind.

In Christ, with love,

R. R. Soares
