David therefore pleaded with God for the child, and David fasted and went in and lay all night on the ground. 2 Samuel 12:16

The price that is paid for sin is terrible. It is impossible to escape from divine justice. David pleaded the most he could for his child, which was born from his adultery with Bathsheba, to be saved. However, God does not listen to he who has iniquity in his heart. The sin that is against the Lord is the most difficult to be forgiven. Seek the Most High for your life, and when you are well, your children will be blessed within you (Ps. 147:13)

When the Lord warns us concerning something, we should avoid it with all of our strength. He talks about sin, especially about adultery, which is one of the worst mistakes that can be committed. Adultery leaves a lasting stain and a disastrous consequence. In David’s case, the enemies of the Lord made use of this opportunity to speak against the Most High, but He was not responsible for David’s action.

The Word of God declares that whatever a man sows, that he will also reap (Gl. 6:7b). Sin will find its creator wherever he may be. No one has an excuse to sin, and those who venture in sin will never remain unpunished. Divine justice claims for the punishment of he who lets himself be taken by the evil one and does his will. Therefore, if you do not wish that this suffering comes into your life, flee from temptation with all of your strength.

King David sinned, and when he saw that his sinful act bore a child with a serious problem, he sought the Lord for the child to be spared. When evil reaches someone that has disobeyed the divine Word, it is very difficult to be delivered. A true confession must be made, as well as requesting for forgiveness and making things right with the person who was betrayed.

One of the problems of he who is in sin is that God does not hear him anymore. The person that practices sin becomes separated from the Holy God (Is. 59:2). The person may make all the effort he can, but if he is silent in regards to what he has done wrong, he will not be heard, even if he has dedicated his life to God’s work. Whoever does not listen to what the Lord speaks, and gets involved with transgression, will see that he should have never done such a thing. It is not worth staying away from God!

Before a person sins, he has a feeling that what he is doing is not correct, for the Holy Spirit convinces of sin and of the harm it causes. However, even though some people know that they should give up on doing evil, they close their ears, do what is wrong, and then lie to cover up what they did. In these cases, it is very difficult to find forgiveness.

If you have sinned, there is only one way out: confessing. There is no use seeking for blessings, for the face of the Lord is covered, and consequently, He cannot hear you.

In Christ, with love,
