Let everything that has breath praise the LORD. Praise the LORD!

Psalm 150: 6

There’s nothing else more important to do than praising The Lord once we’ve accepted Jesus as our Saviour. He loved us so much that He offered Himself to die in our place for us to be taken out of the evil world in which we were condemned to live eternally on account of Adam’s sin. On top of that, God gave us His Spirit for us to become conquerors over all things, to walk along with Him and to perform His very same works.

We were nothing but ashes and had it not be for our Creator’s desires we wouldn’t even exist. Yet, The Most High not only thought of His salvation plan for us but He actually put it into practice and here we are. If we were addressed by The Most High the way we do to those who are offensive to us we wouldn’t be here. Someone might offend us once or twice and yet we happen to be offensive to The Lord every minute of our lives but, even though, He continues loving us and looking for our welfare. God’s worthy of all praise!

Our Heavenly Father is such a special being – The Only One by the way – that He’s worthy of always getting from our lips thanksgiving words for what He has been doing in our favour. Just the fact of Jesus preparing a place to welcome us in His Kingdom (John 14: 3) would be reason enough for His praises to continually be in our mouth. One day He’ll come to fulfil His Word and He’ll take us out of this evil world. Then He’ll take us into His Kingdom of full happiness.

Why not thank The One who has loved us so much and still does? If we’re weak He’ll give us His strength; if we sin He’ll forgive us; if we happen to be assaulted by the powers of darkness – provided we pray to Him – He, The Most High, will send His power to deliver us. God is worthy of being praised by all those who experience His love. As we praise Him our soul is filled up with strength and, when that happens, we are delivered from all those evil snares and fetters which used to hold us down.

The psalmist makes a list of numerous blessed places for us to enjoy and of reasons why we must praise God. He provides us with a list of several musical instruments to be played for us to praise Him and, finally, He declares that everything that has breath must praise our Creator.

You can use your voice to sing the most beautiful song ever: the praises to God. Begin to develop your musical talent and honour Him with His praises then you’ll see how enriched your life will become because those people who are engaged in this sort of ministry are greatly blessed considering that they know how to show that they really fear The Lord (Psalm 128: 4).

Your understanding regarding the Scriptures will broaden up and it’ll become clearer for you, your knowledge will be greatly blessed and gates will automatically open up for you. God will know how to use your life provided you consecrate it to praise Him with all your heart. Praising The Lord is just like planting a seed which, in its due time, will bear many fruits.

When Jehoshaphat went to face the Ammonites, the Moabites and the inhabitants of Mount Seir The Spirit of God came upon Jahziel, the priest, who instructed the king not to fear nor to be frightened for the huge crowd before his eyes. Jehoshaphat believed his words and then, facing the enemy, he praised The Lord and The Most High granted him the victory (II Chronicles 20: 14 to 22). For those who always praise God victory will certainly come.

In Christ, with love,
