Until now you have asked nothing in My name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full.

John 16:24

People enlightened by God are called in The Scripture as wise because they know exactly when and how they have to pray. That understanding is in their hearts when they are visited by Jesus. Along with the Master’s visit comes wisdom as to how and when to determine the work to be done. It is prudent to hold on till joy emerges and then we will know the appropriate moment to act.

No revelation that comes from The Lord is devoid of joy once it signals the fact that He has given you the blessing. When reasoning tries to understand The Word it may jump to conclusions, and your ideas seem to be logical; yet, they do not show that holy contentment which only occurs with the divine manifestation in our inner being. Therefore, our soul exalts in a great pleasure and as a result we can put into practice our rights.

In the previous verse Jesus explains that as He visits us He makes our heart rejoice. Obviously, The Master did not mean natural joy, the one we feel as we get good news, but the joy of The Lord indeed which is our strength (Nehemiah 8: 10). That phenomenon happens to all those who let themselves be guided by The Spirit of God. The visit of The Lord serves as authorization for us to take over that which belongs to us.

Once we have received the divine joy in our hearts we do not need to wait for us to be blessed, but we only need to believe and determine the work to be done. It is extremely important for us to receive the divine visit which will make us feel happy by giving us the capability to ask and to receive. Until we are effectively visited by Him, it´s as if we had not asked God for anything. Without joy our requests are not accepted.

Once our hearts rejoice with a revelation God encourages us to ask. It is good to say that it is not necessary to continuously say a prayer, but if we pray without faith we ought to say the same prayer again; so, as long as it is with faith we will be answered. As we rejoice our heart The Lord is saying that we can ask for what has been promised to us and it will be done.

Another matter I want to point out here is that The Most High does not want any of His children to get frustrated in their faith. When we were presented with joy by Him everything we need to end up being winners was already given to us at that very moment. Thus, even though we find ourselves in a situation which seems impossible we only need to determine and to believe that what we have asked for will surely be done. The main purpose of God in giving us what, in prayer, we have requested is to make us strong enough to glorify His Holy Name with victory.

Therefore, do begin enjoying the abundant life that Jesus has granted you. Do not accept any failure or any deceit of the enemy. If you have already received understanding from The Word of God you must be certain that your determination will be fulfilled. After all, your joy must be thorough.

In Christ, with love,
