For the sake of Your name, O LORD, revive me. In Your righteousness bring my soul out of trouble. Psalm 143.11

When someone feels like they have no more strength to resist, they’re not exaggerating. The lack of communion with the Lord makes the spirit weaken, just as the body is weakened when it is not fed properly. Communion is by the revelation of the Word. The religious ones, although they work hard to meet their church regulations, aren’t able to hear or talk to God.

The group with the most people without a life consists of religious people. They live reciting prayers written by people who did not have the Spirit of the Lord, for if they had the Holy Spirit in them, they would have listened to what the Scriptures said. The Bible states that whoever adds anything to the revelation will have added to their lives all the pests written in the Book of God, and whoever takes something out, will have salvation taken (Rev. 22:18-19).

Whoever feels lifeless, with no energy, should seek vivification from the Lord for your soul, without such vivification will not have the slightest condition to overcome the temptations that appear. Even in our own churches, and with people who preach the Word, this kind of discouragement can happen. Those who leave the Word and are adopting the wrong way, in no time will be so weak as if they had never had God’s presence with them.

The request to be vivified by the Lord shouldn’t be made based on if the person thinks he or she is worthy, but for the love that the Creator has for His name. This is one of the strongest requests that can be done and without a doubt it will be accepted by the Father. However, we need to request with all our hearts, without pretending. Praying for the sake of the Lord’s Name, you meet up to an advice that the Lord’s Spirit gives in this psalm, and your cry will be promptly answered.

The psalmist also asked, for the sake of God’s justice, that his soul would be taken out of the anguish he was in. When he wrote that, the Lord’s righteousness had not yet been fulfilled. The psalmist’s prayer was done in order for him to look forward and to have strength. Now, as Jesus went to the cross of the Calvary, paid the price for our redemption, and divine justice was fully met, today whatever is requested will be granted.

Don’t leave thy soul in anguish, Jesus promised that he would visit us, and our heart would be glad (John 16:22). When this happens to you, at once, you will see that grief will open up a way to joy, and therefore, all you have to do is believe, for whatever you ask, in Jesus’ name, be made. In his day, David experienced the truth of the divine promise. Just as the psalmist did, you should also ask, believe, and experience God’s best.

In the love of Christ,
