For the arms of the wicked shall be broken, but the LORD upholds the righteous.

Psalm 37:17

It is obvious that the wicked achieve much more than the righteous because they accept certain proposals unrestrainedly. However, the Word warns us not to have them as a standard or envy them (Psalm 73; Proverbs 24:1). What matters is what you get with God’s help for it will never be taken away from us. The inheritance of the righteous comes from the Lord and therefore it will be preserved forever (Psalm 37:18). Undoubtedly, the fate of the righteous is better than that of the wicked.

There are days when the evil one seems to achieve complete success in his destructive work. From all sides we hear stories of tragedies taking place. These days are known as the evil time. But despite the effect these things have on man, the righteous are preserved. On the day of God’s judgment we will receive the answers for the adversities that befell on us. Understand, however, that a curse without a cause shall not alight (Proverbs 26:2). Watch and pray so that the enemy can not find footholds in you.

At certain times, so many problems come up that man cannot solve them. However, for those who are true servants of the Most High there will be plenty of solution. The righteous have the Lord in their midst, and when they pray they receive the wisdom that helps them get rid of the crisis that befalls the lost. Behold the wicked because before they perish they will be like burnt meadows whose splendor vanishes (Psalm 37:20).

There is nothing wrong in having someone’s faith as a model, but the least you can do is praise God whenever you succeed. One of the signs that an individual is in wickedness is when the righteous help them succeed in something but when they obtain the first fruits they fail to share their success with the righteous. The wicked borrowed the inspiration from the righteous, but does not repay (verse 21).

It does not matter what is achieved with deceitful hand – albeit much – because what should be sought is to possess the land of God’s promises. Only those who love the Lord and keep His commandments (John 14:21) are blessed to possess the Promised Land. Those who choose to live in wickedness, being carried away by the lies of the devil, are under God’s curse and therefore will soon be cut off (Psalm 37:22).

In spiritual warfare the arms of the wicked – what we have created to help them – shall be broken since there is no basis in anything that does not proceed from God. The righteous, on the other hand, will not lose the battle because the Almighty will sustain them. They should not fear because the Father is with them; they should not be frightened because the Lord is their help. The Most High will help, sustain and uphold them with His awesome power (verse 40).

In Christ with Love,
