25/12/2011 - WHOSE SERVANT WILL YOU BE?

Do you not know that to whom you present yourselves slaves to obey, you are that one’s slaves whom you obey, whether of sin leading to death, or of obedience leading to righteousness?

Romans 6:16

Our reality is harsh because in the spiritual world there is no such a thing as being neutral: we either serve God or the devil. However, serving God is the best thing we can do because in doing so we get to attain all the things He has. On the other hand those who serve the devil are deceiving themselves altogether. The sins he induces people to commit are not profitable at all  because all people derive from them is a dirty pleasure which does not cheer their heart but rather exposes them to the most evil deeds concocted by the one that does no other thing but harm. In sin there is only deception; no one will have peace and happiness in the kingdom of darkness.

Moreover, the Lord\’s servants are privileged because they have the full power of the Creator of Heaven and Earth at their disposal. This enables people to lead a quiet, righteous and blessed life; they are protected by the power from on High and whatever they are in need of they are supplied by God. In short, those who fulfill the divine plan become completely happy and accomplished people.

The enemy’s offers, besides being untrue, are tricks to lure the unwary. All those who believed in him found out – when it was too late – that everything they got from the devil was not worth their while. The evil one provides people with temporary moments of pleasure that will take their toll on them shortly thereafter. The Holy Book of God says that by means of a harlot a man is reduced to a crust of bread (Proverbs 6:26). Woe to him who accepts a favor from the enemy because the toll will be exceedingly high.

The Bible tells us not to accept anything from the enemy. Those who rebel against the Word of God lose the divine protection and, as a result, they fall prey to the devil’s actions. The purpose of the evil one when he approaches someone is only to kill, steal and destroy (John 10:10a). Make no mistake: those who accept any of Satan’s suggestions will pay a high price and, which is worse, will be deprived of the grace of God.

The servants of sin must be well aware that they will inherit death, which is Satan’s nature. He who yields to sin, however small, becomes a slave of the worst person that exists in the realm of evil – the chief himself, Satan. He is ruthless, evil, and never shows mercy to anyone. In his heart there is no compassion, mercy, forgiveness or any other good attributes, only evil.

Now, see what will happen to the servants of God: they will shine forever and ever. Those who believe in the Lord are never disappointed. If you are of God, do not expect the coming of Jesus for you to reign. Start now to enjoy all that the Lord has promised. Be strong and accept no suffering. Make your dreams come true.

In Christ with love,
