You have put gladness in my heart, more than in the season that their grain and wine increased. (Psalm 4:7)

It\’s good to compare the events and comment on the most successful ones. The world has been repressed by negativity, which has dominated the lives of many children of God – so much so that almost always what you hear in prayers are complaints, cries for help, etc. There is nothing wrong with expressing those things to the Lord, but man almost never remembers to thank Him for the blessings they have received.

The problems get bigger when we believe in them. In fact, the enemy grows before our eyes as we do not give due attention to the Lord. My brother, taking the threats into consideration is a declaration of weakness and it also means you are giving the enemy permission to deceive you. So do not be misled by those who have an evil purpose, but rather follow what the Bible says because whoever does will never be at a dead end alley. For those who believe in the Lord, the problems are merely opportunities for them to prove their ability in the Most High (John 16:33).

The Psalmist had an encounter with the Lord, and his heart was filled with joy. Then, in his gratitude, he compared his feelings with the joy of the farmers when the harvest of wheat and grapes had increased. In his mind, the image of those happy people, praising God for the abundant harvest, had never been erased, but when he felt the immense gladness that the Lord had put in his heart, he said it was much greater than that of the farmers. Likewise, dear brethren, the Father will do for you more than what your eyes have seen being done to others

Gratitude is one of the best ways to praise God. He who is truly grateful will be able to acknowledge that the blessing he received is bigger than that of other people and that the Lord will operate more intensely in his life. On the other hand, those who disregard the divine blessing will not realize that this ingratitude prevents the Lord from making their wishes come true.

Once, Jesus ordered ten lepers who had begged for His mercy to show themselves to the priests. While they were on their way, one of them, realizing he had been healed, returned to thank the Master. The others, who were also healed, continued their journey (Luke 17:12-19). We do not know whether the lepers went up to the priest as they had been ordered because, after all, ingratitude towards the Lord was common then as it is now. However, that leper did things differently: he expressed his thankfulness. So the Lord acknowledged it and that man achieved salvation – which proves that being grateful to God is like sowing a seed which will certainly produce a good crop.

In Christ with love,
