Remember me, O LORD, with the favor You have toward Your people. Oh, visit me with Your salvation.

Psalm 106:4

All that is written in the Bible was guided by the Holy Spirit so we can state that what is recorded there is God’s will for us (II Timothy 3:16). The above mentioned verse is the prayer God wants His children to say because it is the one that pleases Him the most. The psalmist was used to give us advice, which, when followed, will enable us to partake in the same grace he enjoyed: being heard and answered by the Lord.

How great it is that the Almighty always thinks about us because whenever He decides to carry out a plan of destruction – as He did to Sodom and Gomorrah – or allow something bad to happen somewhere, He can deliver us. The same will happen when we are about to fall into a trap of the enemy, or if something bad is meant to happen to us. Therefore, it is best to always have the Lord watching over us and thinking of us.

However, everything will be all right if only we act in accordance with the good will of God for His people. We should follow the guidance that comes from the Almighty’s heart to guide our prayers and in so doing we will be answered by Him. So do not accept anything that is not the expression of God’s will because the devil is very good at inflicting evil on us as if it were sent by the Almighty.

It was in accordance with the Father’s will that Jesus suffered for our transgressions, diseases and all the evil that we were supposed to bear. But God never wished for us to feel pain, so He put all our pains on His Son. The same applies to the sin and the punishment that brings us peace: everything was taken away by Christ. Therefore, the Lord wants to constantly remind us of what He has done in our favor.

The desire of the Almighty is made known through the accounts of what happened with the patriarchs who served Him in the biblical times, and how they were kept and protected, thriving so abundantly. This shows that the Heavenly Father always remembered them and, therefore, did good to them. So be sure to ask for it to happen to you because in our present days we can get the divine attention to never abandon us.

The psalmist also asked the Lord to visit him with salvation, which includes healing, protection, prosperity and other blessings. To be visited that way, when we are going through trials in health, for example, does a tremendous good, and so does forgiveness when we happen to trespass against any commandment.

Salvation, with all its inherent blessings, is the best that can happen to us. So, observe the guidelines of the Almighty and pray according to them because they are His will for all His children. Also, do not accept any treatment allegedly from God, unless it complies with the revelation of His Word.

In Christ with love,
