To fear the enemy’s ability is a confession of defeat that offends the Lord; after all, He protects His people from danger. Now, for those who do not believe in Jesus, or if they do but disobey His Word, the devil presents himself in the worst possible way. This warning was not taken seriously, and the Assyrians destroyed the Northern kingdom. The Babylonians did the same to the southern kingdom, just as the Lord warned. The damage was great, for they did not believe God’s warning!
The Most High maintains the integrity of His power in every aspect, therefore, the children of Zion should not fear or avoid a confrontation with darkness, because the One who goes before His people is the Almighty, the Commander and only Winner of any battle. The saved need not worry about the nation of fierce countenance. If they love Jesus, they will be loved by Him (John 14.21,23). We will be kept by God always!
Jesus told the disciples who attended His transfer to Heaven the following: And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age. Amen! (Matthew 28.18-20). So why fear or waver?
No matter how ferocious the enemy may be; if we live according to God’s Word, we will never be touched nor lose any battle, even if the kingdom of death is determined to do everything to defeat us. We are kept and preserved in a way that the devil and his demons will never be able to understand: in the love of God. So let us have the commandments and keep them. Then we will be loved by the Father!
Remember: we received power from Heaven when the Holy Spirit descended on us, and we need it to continue serving the Lord: But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth (Acts 1.8). We didnt receive just any power, but the virtue of God’s Spirit. Therefore, we must never fear the loser, who is a liar. Let us believe in God and act!
Get rid of the little foxes, whose power is destructive. The Bible says: Catch us the foxes, the little foxes, that spoil the vines; for our vines have tender grapes (Song of Salomon 2.15). From the day you accepted Jesus, you became a flourishing vine, ready to bring forth good fruit at the right time. Now, the devil will do whatever he can to prevent that fruitfulness, so take any temptation and cast it away!
Take Daniel’s advice, trusting in God’s command. He will do the wonders promised for His people: But you, go your way till the end; for you shall rest, and will arise to your inheritance at the end of the days (Daniel 12.13). We do not need the pity of the evil one, for the Scriptures declare: What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? (Romans 8.31).
In Christ, with love,

Lord, our Commander! Why should we fear the nation of fierce countenance, if we are walking under Your protection and have received the virtue of Your Spirit? So, we can say to adversity that no one will be against us. Hallelujah!
If the evil one comes with all his violence, we have the virtue to quench the darts used by him. In You, we are more than conquerors! We will continue to fulfill the mission You have given us. Thank You for loving us unconditionally. We head towards victory!
Use us to show everyone Who You are, and they will see that we do not serve a man-made god, but the only Lord, the Creator. Prepare us for the battles of life, that You may be glorified. We are thankful that You make us successful in You!
