For I say, through the grace given to me, to everyone who is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think soberly, as God has dealt to each one a measure of faith.

Romans 12:3

God dispensed His grace on each individual. Even those who have not yet heard about the Gospel and also those who despite of having heard about it still have not converted, they have the divine grace over their lives. However, if they are not born again, that Grace will not be able to do much for them. Now, the moment they receive Jesus as Lord and Savior everything will change because this gift – which cause them to obtain the divine favor such as salvation and other blessings – will come into action, and they shall become more than conquerors ( Romans 8:37).

Everyone should pray and seek in the Word what the Most High has for each one of them. If the Lord\’s grace is for us to succeed in life, we do not have to do anything for the Lord\’s hand to use, protect and bless us. The servant of God must do nothing but that which God has assigned to him as a mission because then he will have complete victory. He who thinks of himself more highly than he ought to is making a mistake.

An important thing to take into consideration is that God knows all things, so He will never be caught by surprise. You can rest assured that the Father will give you the necessary conditions for you to fulfill His plan so do not make things up or waste time trying to figure out what He has for you. When reading God\’s Word, meditating on it or listening to the preaching of the Bible faith will be provided. The individual who thinks he is better than he really is will be easily deceived by the devil.

Everything that comes from the Lord is good. But even when you are sure about what He wants for you, you must have self-control. Without temperance temptation will come and you will end up doing what your heart longs for, which is very dangerous. The Scriptures state that man\’s heart is desperately wicked, and nobody knows it (Jeremiah 17:9).

He who is led by the desires of the heart instead of being guided by the Word is obviously separated from the divine plan. A person like this will, for instance, find fault in everyone and for this reason he or she will not settle in any congregation. As a leader, a person like this does what he sees fit and sooner or later he will divide the church, and his insanity will lead him to create his own church. What will be his situation in the Day of Reckoning? What will he say to the Lord of the Church? What excuse will he give since the Word states that he did such a thing for self-serving purposes and raged against all wise judgment? (Proverbs 18:1).

The Word of God commands us to stay within the limits that have been established for us. To this end, we must be governed by the measure of faith that was allotted to us. We will not be obliged to give account of nothing more than what has been dealt to us.

In Christ with love,

R. R. Soares
