03/08/2015 - WORDS IDENTIFY THOSE WHO SPEAK THEM

He did not say this because he cared about the poor but because he was a thief; as keeper of the money bag, he used to help himself to whatever was put in it. John 12.6

Words and actions locate and identify people. All you need to do is be watchful of the Lord’s guidance to understand the reason some facts are noticed in the meetings of the Gospel. Whoever is not well in faith will seem strange to us for their actions and observations. It resembles the person who strives to be part of a group, but does not share the same customs.

It was a time of pure joy in Bethany. There were six days until the Passover (John 12.1-11). And they made a supper for the Lord, and Martha was serving. Lazarus, whom the Master had raised from the dead, was there. No doubt, that was one of the best occasions for the teachings of Jesus.

I’d give anything to be part of that moment of holiness, in which the Master, the Creator of all things, was sitting at the table. What a pleasure to sit with Him and hear from His mouth the divine message! Many people participated in that meeting, among them were the disciples. Some people do not realize how much you can learn in a meeting with the Savior, even at a dinner or a prayer group.

Mary, the sister who enjoyed sitting at the Messiah’s feet, happy that her brother was resurrected; she did something special to show her love for the Lord. She brought a pound of ointment of pure nard, of high value, and anointed the feet of Jesus and wiped them with her hair; the perfume was felt throughout the house. It was welcomed by all as a good deed, except for Judas Iscariot.

Judas, the treasurer of the group, was upset by Mary’s attitude and complained. He said it was a waste, because she could have sold the perfume and given the money to the poor. However, his concern was an excuse. Since he was a thief, Judas had the desire to put the money in the bag, because he could subtract more.

Pay attention to the reactions of people who are far from God. Whoever is in sin cannot see spiritual things as they really are, but only according to his perverted will. Adulterers, liars or any other person with reprehensible conduct will be urged by the demon to talk or do something out of the Word of God. If you are in spirit, you will see who is really behind that word or action.

Whoever is in the error only aims to his own advantages, not the will of God. If that person takes control of a ministry, he will appear with decisions that, if allowed, hinder the church. Be careful! The school that Judas Iscariot opened has not closed yet, and his students will always bring news

In Christ, with Love

Lord, worthy of worship! What a lesson: people can be identified by what they speak. With this lesson and being in Your presence, we can find those who harm Your work.

We learned that the reaction of those who do not serve You is strange for your children. Thus, adulterers, thieves, evil doers and other, because they not resist the holy environment, they make their bad observations. However, thank You for Your help, Father!

The excuse Judas made was to help the poor, but others false justifications will be discovered in the Christian walk. Not even the joy of being beside You will serve to remove a bad purpose from an evil heart. However, Your servants will know how to discern them.
