Before coming to this verse, Paul spoke of the need for the spirit of wisdom and revelation to exist in our knowledge (Ephesians 1.17). Salvation is the greatest blessing that man can receive from the Lord, because it frees him from the kingdom of darkness. In fact, we cannot despise any of God’s acts, because they serve as lessons for faith to develop. Without growing in the knowledge of God, we will not experience His best.
Our understanding began to be enlightened at the beginning of our journey of faith, as we heard about Jesus. This was enough to birth in us a deep desire to love God and to be loved by Him. The biblical text goes on to say that we will understand about the Lord’s hope; after all, we have been called to make up His Body. Paul also mentions the riches of the glory of God’s inheritance in us (Ephesians 1.18).
The apostle continues: and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power (Ephesians 1.19). It is sad to see that many do not even think about the work done in us by the operation of the power of the Most High. We are now in the Kingdom of Heaven, so the enemy will not attack us. If he tries, God will take care of our lives, for He does not lack the disposition, the ability, and the will to keep us. The Lord is good!
The manifestation of heavenly power caused Jesus to rise from the dead, giving Him the necessary ability to emerge victorious from the kingdom of darkness. This power was also granted to us, because we became free through the work of Christ done on our behalf (Ephesians 1.20,21). From then on, the evil one was prevented from subduing us and preventing us from being all that the Scriptures say about us. We are victorious over the powers of hell (Luke 10.19).
The power of God given to Christ, when He had not left the tomb, is available to us and is able to give us total supremacy over the wiles of the adversary. But we must remember that we can do nothing without Jesus (John 15.5). But with Him in us, we are more than victorious in our struggles. This way, we will glorify His holy name. Now, believe and perform the same deeds as the Savior (John 14.12).
The Son of God was accompanied by divine power until the hour of His ascension to Heaven. He Himself said, All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth (Matthew 28:18b). Jesus is the Commander and Doer of the Father’s purpose. Therefore, we must fear nothing, but believe that we will succeed in the battles, because the Lord guides us in everything. While the time for Christ’s return to take His Church out of this world is not yet upon us, let us do our part.
Why should we be afraid and not believe that we are authorized by the Most High and have the same authority as Jesus? There is a great task to be carried out: to bring people to the understanding of what the Church is in everyday life. We are the Lord’s Church, purchased by His blood in order to continue His ministry. Let’s seize the hour and act!
In Christ, with love,

Lord of the new creation! When You manifested Your power in Christ, after He stripped the devil of the authority stolen from man, Your Spirit descended into hell and quickened Jesus, giving Him life and extending it to mankind, who had died in Adam!
Your power resurrected our Savior, and He presented Himself alive to the disciples, speaking and exhorting them to go into the world to tell the Good News, as He loved us and gave Himself for us. Christ restored all that we had lost in Adam!
Now we have a Savior who is using His servants to give everyone the opportunity to be saved by being born again. It is beautiful to see people, whose hands were tied by the devil, being reborn and occupying their new position!
