And they rose at twilight to go to the camp of the Syrians; and when they had come to the outskirts of the Syrian camp, to their surprise no one was there.

II Kings 7: 5

Israel’s overall situation was sad in those days when Elisha prophesied. When a leader of a nation does not serve The Lord all of its people suffer. He might even achieve success in some fields but the devil will undoubtedly cause him to perish in a variety of ways. Today in the wealthy nations the suicide toll is dramatically high; in other nations promiscuity and drug addiction are dominant. In fact, in those places where people do not respect God evil operations are always present.

The verse above is part of the report of God’s people being delivered by Him. At that point, the siege of the Syrian army had led the people into a wretched state. On account of starvation two mothers made a macabre pact to kill their children to feed on them. As the king was informed of that he tore his clothes (II Kings 6: 24 – 30).

Yet, four lepers were inspired to march on up to the Syrian camp (II Kings 7: 3). Now, faith is a divine order for us to march on without being worried about the hardships ahead. They did not know that the faith march they got on would scare off the enemy’s powers. That occurs all the time considering that the lost do not have any foundation on which to stand firm regarding their decisions. All those that are obedient to the direction given to them by The Lord will put in despair those that trust in themselves or in the enemy.

The ungodly cannot resist any pressure at all once they do not have The Lord as their Stronghold, Refuge or Help. Therefore, the right decision they ought to make will be fleeing to save their own lives. Besides, they will flee even when nobody is chasing them. Now, the people that trust in The Most High enjoy their Unbeatable Stronghold. The resource of the servants of God is The Lord Himself.

There is nothing more important to be done than trusting in our Father. Those who are obedient to Him find out that He wrestles in their stead and that occurs in all of their battles. That is the reason why you must try to put your trust in what God says and see how kind and powerful He is. Having the Almighty operating on your behalf you will become a winner in all fields.

All prophecy that our Father puts in our mouth is to be handed out with faith and determination. Elisha did not fear as he said that, in spite of the dominant famine in those days, there would be plenty in that the food prices would become derisive. If he had dithered that miracle would not have occurred; yet, he was firm and confident. That is the reason why The Most High honored His Word and thus plenty came true as previously prophesied.

Do not be afraid of speaking what The Lord commands you to. When a prophecy comes from God it is fulfilled in its least details. Our Father always makes sure that His people have the best as long as they want it and listen to His voice. So, be faithful to The One who has called you to belong to The Body of Christ. You will then be surprised with what God will do on your behalf.
