Who once were not a people but are now the people of God, who had not obtained mercy but now have obtained mercy.  1 Peter 2:10

Every person that comes to this world belongs to the Lord, because He was the One who created man at His image and likeness. However, because of Adam’s sin, man walked away from the Most High. But, when he converts, he becomes part of God’s exclusive people and property, as a member of the Body of Christ. Thus, the authority of the devil on his live is over. Halleluiah!

Before salvation, we lived in times of anxiety, suffering, and hard work without finding any favor. However, as we were enlightened by the Word, we return to the Most High’s hands. According to Jesus, anyone who comes to Him will not be cast out (John 6:37). Therefore, if you have already accepted Christ as Lord and Savior, you will never again be cast out of God’s love. Rejoice!

When you turn from darkness to the wonderful light of the Lord, you become part of God’s people. There are rights and obligations in this. When you fulfill your mission as a child of God – to keep His’ commandments – you prove that you love the Lord, and He will love you too. You will be loved by Jesus, and He promises to manifest Himself to you (John 14:21). God does great things in favor of those who surrender to Him.

As citizens of the Kingdom of Heaven, we have much more in our hands than we may think or dream. We can affirm that being in the presence of the Omnipotent is the best thing that can be obtained in life. The rich cannot come close to comparing their goods with the abundant riches of the divine glory, which belong to us. Thus, forever, we will do what is good. The Lord is our God forever.

The times in which our ancestors served idolatry, witchcrafts, and deceptions were difficult, for they attained nothing. However, suddenly, they woke up, or God woke us up, and we saw the Gospel as something infinitely better than that life – in fact, we can’t even call life what we used to live before Thus, we have entered the Kingdom of love, light and peace. We are kept by the gracious hands of the Almighty. It is wonderful what the Most High does in our lives!

Before we were converted, we had not attained mercy. Now, as God’s people, we are embraced by His mercy and will no longer be condemned to eternal doom. Since we surrendered our lives in the hands of Christ, the Redeemer, we owe nothing to the devil. Our records are clean, and we do no longer have to be afraid to face him. Every time that the enemy attacks us, we have the power to defeat him.

After we receive heaven’s mercy, our position before the powers of the spiritual world, both in Hell and in Heaven, is one of sovereignty. The angels have received orders to keep us safe and minister in our favor. The devil and his demons know that we have power to send them away. Thus, please God by doing your part.
