As we study this verse, we understand how important it is to ask the Lord to teach us so we will be blessed. When we understand how important it is to be disciplined, we won’t ever walk away from it. Discipline produces in us and through us the conviction that we are sons of God. This is a privilege, and it is proof that we are part of the divine family!
Those who live in the flesh are fooled by the devil; many times, they are playing with the Truth, desiring anything but to be guided by the Lord. God’s discipline isn’t like man’s; man uses a stick, a whip or his own hands to “educate” others. The Most High uses His Word to show us our mistakes and to guide us in His roads, where the enemy doesn’t walk (Isaiah 35:8).
If you choose to not follow God’s direction, He won’t force you to accept anything; but soon enough you’ll realize you didn’t make a wise decision and, consequently, you won’t be blessed. Can you think of a situation that’s worse than this? When we’re not successful in our battles, we will taste the bread of tears and polluted waters. Instead, we could be living joyfully, without anything to be sorry for. It is worth it to walk with the heavenly Father!
The sons of God who accept the Lord’s discipline know that He is good and His mercy endures forever (Psalm 106:1). Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning (Psalm 30:5). When the dawn rises, a beautiful day is born, bringing the blessings of the Lord, which are at your disposal. We shouldn’t fear, because God would never give us something bad.
Ask the Lord to exhort you and prepare you to understand His purposes. Certainly, you’ll want to taste of His goodness. The Father has what it takes to instruct you; His plans for your life are great and you have the capacity to execute them. God, who is love, will shape you in great joy!
Never long to be treated as a bastard! God has an incomparable blessing for you, but you can only receive it as a son of the King. To be considered a son, you must be taught in what the family believes and longs for. Therefore, give God the opportunity to make you a blessed person, and His mercy will be poured upon you forever. He knows what’s best for you.
Decide to obey the Lord wherever you go. Allow the Truth to take control of your being and live with satisfaction, pleasing God. He truly loves you. Be who the Father wants you to be. The Lord Almighty knows it all!
In Christ, with love,
Dr. Soares
Dear Father! We want to be disciplined by You as Your children. All of us have different stories to tell of our past, but with Your help, we will be the blessing You want us to be.
If others were taught by You, why can’t the same happen to us? Why should we allow others to mock us because we’re Your children? Blessings of this world can’t be compared to Yours!
Thank You for making us members of Your own nature; that way we won’t ever suffer with attacks from the evil one, but we will live in true joy. We will surely benefit from Your instructions!
