“Blessed is that man who makes the LORD his trust, and does not respect the proud nor such as turn aside to lies.” (Psalm 40:4)
God has already provided His children with the necessary conditions for them to be triumph in everything. Your success has already been decreed, but there are three requirements yet to be fulfilled. Those things that the Lord stated in His Word will automatically occur once such conditions are met. Thus, nobody will be able to hinder the fulfilment of the Scriptures.
For your success to become a reality, three very important prerequisites must be taken into account: 1) Trust in the Lord; 2) no respect for the proud; 3) no respect for those who turn aside to lies. Those who comply with such conditions will achieve total success in their work. None of them can be discarded.
1) Trust in the Lord – Our trust must never be put in some preacher’s faith; not even in those who have proved to be holy and powerful in God. It doesn’t matter what they say; for us to be successful in our battles we must put our faith in the Lord.
2) Do not respect the proud – Many people in the work of God are prone to haughtiness. Some of them – because they have consecrated themselves to Jesus and have gained the divine favor – begin to consider themselves better than others. They know it but they don’t want to accept the idea that they are actually giving themselves to our enemy by doing so. Those who regard them as special people will lose their blessings.
3) Do not respect those who turn aside to lies – This warning was given a thousand years before Jesus was born. The psalmist stated that there would be people who would turn aside to lies. The History of the Roman Church
testifies to that and the outcome of its deviation was a brutal adulteration of the biblical teachings. Today there are also evangelical groups coming up with “new” things and turning their backs to the divine grace. My brethren, do not accept any of those rules because those written in the Bible are enough.
God established limits to the children of Israel regarding the Holy Land. They were not to go beyond the pre-established line. Likewise, the Scriptures are our limit as well. Whatever is not written in the Holy Book do not belong to us but to the Lord. Nobody will become a conqueror if they don’t stay within the biblical boundaries.
The Promised Land is very rich. Everything we need is there, as well as all that’s necessary for us to fulfil the divine will. We have to engage ourselves in exploring all of its resources which, by the way, are vast and endless. The instructions we need are in the Bible, so follow them and you will be surprised with your success, which has already been decreed.
In Christ, with love,
R. R. Soares
