Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil. Cling to what is good. (Romans 12:9)
We know that evil will always try to weaken us and instill fear in our hearts. However, we must not give way to it. We have to abhor it, resist firmly and trust in God’s promises.
You abhor evil when you prevent it from entering your life. Evil cannot resist when you holdfast to the Word and confess it. The Bible teaches us to resist the devil so that it flees from us (James 4:7).
However, in order to hate evil, we must cling to what is good. How? Doing the Lord’s will! You need to have and use the same weapons Jesus used. He was under the anointing of the Holy Spirit and was directed by Him.
Seek God’s power and grace and you will be able to help those who are being led captive by the forces of evil. Do good and practice the word of faith, and your life will flourish.
