Being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ (Philippians 1:6).
When we put our problems in God’s hands, we have to be sure – that is, to have a wholehearted faith– that He who began a good work will finish it. Many people do not receive their blessing just because they don’t have that trust in the Lord. Your health improves a little, for instance, but if you have a relapse, then you no longer remain firm in your faith.
The prophet Elijah prayed for rain, and apparently nothing had changed (I Kings 18:44). But when he heard that a small cloud was seen, he understood that God had begun a good work and believed that the miracle was being prepared.
God is faithful to keep His promises. Think about it.
