12/12/2012 - Faith and Testimony
Pr. Glauber Morare
The book of II Kings records the rapture of Elijah. Although Elisha, his assistant, also knew what the Lord would do, they remained silent until the work came to fruition.
Sometimes we are so happy with what God’s Word tells us that we just speak of blessings for everyone. Faith is the assurance of what will happen, but the testimony is the glorification of God for the work done. By faith we say: “I believe I will overcome, in Jesus’ Name.” And when one bears testimony, one says: “I’ve overcome, in Jesus’ Name.”
My prayer is that you, dear reader, do not start bearing witness of God’s blessings ahead of time, but do what He expects of you. After the miracle, your testimony will be complete!
