03/22/2013 - For how long would you walk on the water?
Pr. Glauber Morare
The miracle of Jesus walking on the water was recorded in the gospels of Matthew, Mark and Luke, but we see a more extensive report particularly in Matthew, which reveals that the Apostle Peter also walked on water. In fact, we all can do the same.
Walking on water means walking in the Word, which is a secure platform. How long would we remain on the waters?
The Bible says that when Peter sank, Jesus said to him: “O you of little faith, why did you doubt?” (Matthew 14:31b). The life of a Christian should be a life of faith that comes by hearing the Word (Romans 10:17).
If we live based on what we see or hear, we will sink (II Corinthians 5:7 and Ecclesiastes 11:4). If, when we receive the Word of the Lord we walk based on it without minding the headwind, we will walk on fears, illnesses, crises, and everything else.
