Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all (Psalm 34:19).

In this passage the Lord teaches us that the righteous also go through struggles that may generate afflictions. However, it does not mean you have to accept them. Now, it is important to face such situations. Note that in the latter part of the verse God reveals that He delivers us from all afflictions. This should be your faith; this is what should be in your heart.

See the example of Zechariah and Elizabeth (Luke 1:5-15). They were righteous servants of God; however, they went through a very difficult situation: Elizabeth’s sterility prevented them from having a child. The Bible reveals that they were steadfast and God answered their prayer. Their affliction ended when John the Baptist was born and thus the Word of the Most High was fulfilled: but the LORD delivers him out of them all [the afflictions].
