07/02/2012 - Why do we face so many struggles?
Pr. Glauber Morare
It is common to hear someone saying it would be nice to live in a world without problems. However, if we search for the reason of our struggles, we will realize that they are in ourselves actually.
The Bible says in James 4:1, “Where do wars and fights come from among you? Do they not come from your desires for pleasure that war in your members?”
Our self is what harbors the seeds of the hardships we go through. In general, it is only in moments of defeat that we realize this truth, but if we have the Word of God being revealed in our hearts today, we must obey Him and subdue our ego.
So, remove the seed of the problem, and it will not sprout. If it is not possible for us to get rid of all battles (John 16:33), then we should walk beside Jesus and overcome adversity.
