“A man shall be satisfied with good by the fruit of his mouth.” and “Death and life are in the power of the tongue” (Pro 18:20,21). These verses certainly show us the power of words.
The Bible tells us that we are responsible for what we say, in both material and spiritual areas. Many people are living lives far from the standard Jesus died to provide us with. And they just keep on saying things that cause more problems. Negatives words have the power to impede anyone’s progress!
We need to change the way that we say things, because we are what we say, and we obtain what we say we will obtain; our words are a picture of what we will be.
There are many Christians that go to church and read the Bible and still don’t realize this fact.
“A man shall eat good by the fruit of his mouth; but the soul of the transgressors shall eat violence” (Pro 13:2).
“He that keeps his mouth keeps his life: but he that opens wide his lips shall have destruction” (Pro 13:3).
Do you think this message is worthless? Do you think you can say whatever comes into your mind? In Proverbs 13:13 we see, “Whoever despises God’s Word shall be destroyed: but the one who fears God’s commands will be rewarded.”
He who lives in obedience to God’s Word will live a happy and blessed life. We need to be careful, not just regarding what we say, but also what we think, because our actions and words come from our thoughts.
“Whoever keeps his mouth and his tongue keeps his soul from troubles.” (Pro 21:23)
“But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment. 37 For by thy words you shall be justified, and by the words you shall be condemned.” (Mat 12:36-37)
Repent and pray:
Father, in the name of Jesus, I ask you to forgive me for all the negatives words that I had spoken, and the enemy shall have no power to use these words against me. In the name of Jesus I pray,. Amen
