12/02/2013 - Be careful! You might be lying

Christian Life

Lying is something very common amongst thousands and thousands of people. Because of it, many have suffered terrible consequences. Kingdoms, weddings, families are being destroyed.

Some people say: “I DON’T LIE.” The problem is that they don’t know that there are many ways of lying.

We lie to God when we go against his word….God speaks to the person’s heart and the person promises to change, but right afterwards the person forgets to act according to the message received.

Many assume responsibilities although they know they will not be able to fulfill them, but they don’t have the courage to say the truth. Say “No!” As a result: We find many people overburdened by several responsibilities and trying to find an excuse for not saying the truth.

God is not the FATHER of the liars. Every person that lies has the devil as his father. “You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it.” John 8.44

The liars will be sent into hell. (Revelations 21.8 – “But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.”) and there is still more “Butoutside are dogs and sorcerers and sexually immoral and murderers and idolaters, and whoever loves and practices a lie.” (Revelations 22.15)

The lie can seem to be the only way out of certain situations. But we, who are sons of God, should not use this malign shortcut, for it will make us abominable in the eyes of God. And consequently, God will reject our prayers and our petitions!

“Lying lips are an abomination to the LORD, but those who deal truthfully are His delight.” Proverbs 12.22

Before all these situations, we have to always speak the truth even if someone is not pleased with our sincerity. The scriptures teach us in Proverbs 12.17 that “He who speaks truth declares righteousness.”

The Christian who lies is walking on a parallel path to the path of Eternal Life. Many lie and say that they are going to Heaven! But the word of God is clear when it says in Revelations 22.15 that outside are the ones who love and practice lies.

Before this advice, I would like for you, my internet friend, to reflect on the necessity of always speaking the truth.
