Then he turned his face toward the wall, and prayed to the LORD, saying, “Remember now, O LORD, I pray, how I have walked before You in truth and with a loyal heart, and have done what was good in Your sight.” And Hezekiah wept bitterly. (II Kings 20:2-3)
The biblical passage above shows that when Hezekiah was sick he was informed by the prophet Isaiah that he would die. Faced with that situation, he prayed because he wanted the Lord to remember him in that moment of anguish and pain.
How would you react if you found yourself in a situation like that? How would you behave if you were challenged by a serious illness or a grave accident?
If you are facing a situation of despair, do not forget: pray to the Lord. He will hear your prayer, as He did with Hezekiah. Keep your faith in Him, and the Lord will do the miracle.
