Sometimes, the pressures of life are so strong that they confuse us and lead us to say: “I don’t know what to do!”. We worry about all sorts of responsibilities….buy, sell, trade, rent, travel, study, and so on. Some people come to a point of spiritual weariness, and cease believing in the Word of God. They even doubt their true calling, whether it is as a member of the body of Christ, or as a Minister of the Gospel.
In these situations where you don’t know what to do, guide yourself with the Word of God. Let’s reflect on Proverbs 3. 5-6
“Trust in the LORD with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct[a] your paths.”
Try to meditate on these words, even when you are in a tough situation. Let the Lord guide you and direct your path. Understand that the divine guidance will straighten your path. It’s a consequence!
The Psalmist said:
“I lay down and slept; I awoke, for the LORD sustained me.” Psalm 3.5
When your soul feels exhausted, tell it that you are waiting for God! Daily communion with God will help you in times of need. Remember to bring everything before God!
As much as you can, avoid making decisions without seeking guidance…do not rush towards decisions before the conviction of divine will.
Beat the temptation of trying to use pure reason. Reason should submit itself to the Lords will.
